On June 19, 2025, the 2025 Regional Conference Changchun, organized by VDA QMC China and the German Chamber of Commerce in China - North China, was successfully concluded at Courtyard by Marriott Changchun. The conference brought together industry experts, representatives from German institutions in China, and corporate executives, attracting nearly 60 professionals from automotive manufacturers, OEMs, and suppliers to actively participate.
Hendrik Barkeling, Consul General of German General Consulate Shenyang, was invited to attend and delivered a speech on Sino-German relations and cooperation in North China. Stefan Bücke, General Manager of VDA QMC China, and Kathrin Wolfsgruber, Deputy Executive Director of the German Chamber of Commerce in China - North China, delivered opening speeches respectively, extending a warm welcome to participants. Liu Yang, Regional Manager Beijing of VDA QMC China, provided an overview of VDA QMC China's work in automotive quality management and the VDA standards, laying a solid foundation for the ensuing professional discussions.
The conference focused on quality management and quality management and standard implementation in the automotive industry, inviting industry experts to share cutting-edge insights. VDA QMC China experts systematically elaborated on VDA 6.8 standard and product compliance, FAW-Volkswagen representatives shared practical experience in supplier quality management through real cases, while KPMG experts provided a comprehensive introduction to the currently highly-regarded TISAX/VCSA European Automotive supply chain cyber and Information security standards & audits. These well-structured topics stimulated in-depth discussions and active exchanges, elevating the conference atmosphere.
In the afternoon, attendees visited the Audi FAW NEV plant, touring the production facilities to observe smart manufacturing technologies in practice and gain firsthand insights into the localization of German automotive industry standards in China.
